Is complimenting considered as cheating or morally bad?

Hi,

I'm in a happy relationship for 2.5 years now. Before my relationship i was a highly extroverted guy used to talk to ton of folks boys and girls, and me complimenting others was a usual thing which i did a lot to make people happy, nothing bad intended here. After i got into my relationship i still continued complementing others just not at that frequency but yeah few complements here and there which included girls as well complements limited to cute/pretty/looking good, nothing sexual just plain compliment, later after 5-6 months of relationship i even stopped doing that and did not do that anymore, recently i got flashbacks that this used to happen when i was the relationship (a chat came up recently i scrolled up looking at old chats from almost 2 years ago) i started feeling guilty as my girlfriend is very much insecure of other girls I don't know understand why as i have constantly stated her that i love her and all but because of all these insecurities i just knew if she knew about this she would break hell and we would have a very big big fight, and i got a bit scared and deleted one of the chats and then it was worse because in my heart i didn't do anything wrong but still did it, but there are other conversations as well that she could read and i haven't deleted it. I stay in constant fear and thinking that i did very wrong i think because i know i am going to get in a big fight. i have never been insecure of my girlfriend of having male friends always been have open minded no fights, but very opposite in my case everything i do she thinks i am going against her or i am morally wrong. Though it has been a lot of time now, i still think she would find it and we will breakup.

Wanted to hear everyone's opinions and how does everyone feel like if i should come clean about it.
