Absolutely. If you know a person has a history of betrayal whether it be cheating on a partner, or sleeping with a friend's partner, stealing from family or bearing false witness... well you know that this person can never be trusted.

I do know that. I have yet to see a single person who betrayed another, particularly one who betrays people repeatedly, that is living a better life for it.
Every single one of those people, without fail, suffered for it.
