This is complicated, it's fine for woman to have male friends and men to have female friends but if you're romantically involved with a guy or a girl and you hugging and things like that regularly and spending a lot of time together that's crossing a line and becoming disrespectful and basically emotional cheating. I'm not even saying you can't give them a hug if they're having a breakdown or something but when your involved you really shouldn't be hugging or showing a lot of skin ship or spending large amounts of time with that person. Even worse if she talks to them more than you and tells them things they don't tell you that's crossing a massive relationship boundary and a slap in the face to the trust of the relationship.

I don't know if I'd be jealous as much as I would be concerned bc, sadly, things would not end well for her. My husband would end the friendship. And conversely, if a male friend of mine had feelings for me other than platonic, I would do the same. We both have friends of the opposite sex and our agreement is that our spouse knows about them and about the time spent with that friend.

Nope. I don't believe in opposite gender friendships because they don't exist. It's just a matter of time that at least one of the parties develops emotional and/or sexual attraction for the other one. You never know.
