Does Seeking Care and Affection Make Me Weak?

Hi, I hope I’m not bothering anyone, but I really need some advice. I take full responsibility in my relationship—handling bills, cooking, and supporting my wife (if I ever get married). I work on myself and seek love, loyalty, and care in return. Due to childhood trauma, I sometimes need guidance, care, and affection, but when I express this, I get mocked. One girl even said, 'Sleep with your mother instead.' I’m genuinely just seeking advice, with no intention of hurting anyone. Also, I’m always ready to fix any arguments or fights between us and I’m not ashamed to text first (since I believe men should take the initiative). Is it wrong to want emotional support, or should I just give everything without expecting anything back?
