Am I (f34) being too much?

So when I am feeling ill or in pain from my periods, I expect my boyfriend (33) to ssk me how i am both in the morning and in the evening. I also want him to tell me it will be okay and he'll see me soon. Often he does do this but sometimes he will forget to ask me in the evening and I will verbally lay into him saying that he is selfish and doesn't care about me. He says this is unfair and that sometimes he will forget to ask, and that it shouldn't be an issue for me to ocassionally drop a hint such "ah yeah babe my back continues to hurt" to which he can reply with considerate words.

Yeah, girl that’s too much. You can’t assume he reads your body as much as you do, even if you put on the world’s most dramatic rendition of a period cramp while cramping. There’s nothing wrong with seeking comfort but you can’t expect him to coddle you without asking first. Even when I want to be coddled, I don’t expect the people around me to do it and then hate them for it when they don’t if I don’t tell them “Hey, I’m not feeling well, can you give me a hug and tell me I’ll be okay?” It’s not an outrageous ask from my loved ones and they’re usually very happy to make me feel better, if only for a little while.

Yeah you are being a bit much. Men forget easily, they also have no idea of the pain and aggro we go through when we get our periods so he doesn’t understand and maybe in a small way he doesn’t care. It’s something he’ll never experience so why should he care?

Yeah, I wouldn't commit to your mandated responses twice daily and your bad attitude when I inevitably did not respond as you wished. I can get that shit from my boss.
Much better if you sidle up to me for comfort and explain to me how terrible everything is to which i can sympathise and respond accordingly. That's wife behaviour that I understand.
It win win positive rather than creating problems needlessly. You're the woman that he loves. Remind him why and you get the response you like

You are being too much , you need to understand no one is a mind reader , especially your boyfriend, no guy or girl can read each others’ minds , so by you getting bent out of shape over it , makes you the selfish person that is only thinking of yourself. That type of behavior will only make your relationship worse and you will more than likely end up single again if you don’t work on your selfish behavior period

Seems like he's trying to be a nice guy, but since he's only human he forgets sometimes, and you tear into him over it.
