How can you accurately determine which sex cheats more? Many instances of infidelity are never detected, never revealed, so how do you know how much cheating is done by either sex?

More importantly, suppose you learn that 23% of men cheat in the first tem years of marriage, as opposed to 19% of women. How is that information useful in any way?

Its a guess. And even though many don't get caught, if those who do get caught or reveal it themselves are mostly women then you can see a trend. Its like when you take a sample of the population to see there inclination. The bigger the sample the better.
It is useful in knowing how careful you need to be with either sex.

Knowing that the risk with women cheating is 30% of the general population, rather than 23% means that you will doo WHAT differently?

It depends on age. Before age 30, women cheat more. After that men cheat more, but not by much. Between 30 and 50, the difference is only 2% - 3%. After that the gap widens. But again, even at age 60 the difference is only 8%. And despite the myth, the vast majority of both men and women never cheat.

Both the same.. I have seen hoes of both genders.. this is why body count matters.. Someone with a big list is just more likely to cheat since they probably haven't had long term commitments and they are way too open to sharing their bodies with randoms..

That depends on the job field you are in, the higher their income the more likely they are cheaters, its all about enabling it. Counts for both I think. So if you don't want a cheater go for someone in the trades.

I’d say both cheat equally , it just comes down to that individual person on whether they are a cheater or not. Usually someone that is selfish is a cheater cuz they only care about themselves and what they feel is best for themselves. They don’t consider anyone else’s’ feelings but their own. I have witnessed Males and females cheating a lot through the years , so again it’s pretty much equal. Why I won’t enter a relationship with a girl that is selfish, whatsoever , I had my fair share of selfish girls’ that only cared about themselves and what they thought was best for themselves. Never commit to someone that doesn’t prioritize you the same way you prioritize them. You will be digging your own grave if you think they are being faithful and honest with you. It's easier for a woman to cheat, so I think women cheat more than men. Having said that, women are better at hiding it, so the perception is that men cheat more than women.

Well, I'm just going to give you an easy way to know who cheats more. It all comes down to this. Do you get consequences for cheating and how many chances do you get? Men almost always have consequences when they cheat, especialy if they are married, so they have a risk to it. Unless if they are not married and only in relationships with no shared accounts or homes. They also get asked out way less then women when they are out.

Women, even if married have little to no consequences to cheating, so they are far more likely to do so, they even get stuff if they leave. Then they also get asked out frequently by other men who want to sleep with them, depends on job fields especialy.

So by this simple listing, its clear women have way more chances to cheat and also they get no consequences for it.

verdict, why even bother to stay faithful if you get away scotfree with even a gift for betraying yoru SO. Modern society is at fault for this, not womens nature. Womens nature would actually prevent this I think.

Problem with cheating stats is that it's all self reported. I have a hard time believing that men cheat the most. 1 in 3 men between 18 and 30 in the US haven't had intimacy in the last 12 months and I have a hard time believing that the other 2/3rd is filled with don juans that just pick up chicks left and right. Meanwhile getting intimacy is trivial for most women and the only thing stopping them is their moral compass. Reality is opportunity is a big component of whether or not someone cheats. Rich and powerful men are much more likely to have extramarital affairs for that reason. This whole ENM thing is also exploding recently. Why cheat when you can tell them 'let me fuck other people or I'm leaving.'

Probably both, maybe because those people have settled and not with the right people to begin with, therefore more likely to stray, unhappy in existing relationships, not getting needs met, some people just can’t commit fully and struggle with temptation (I’d say definitely the case if super good looking, always get girls/guys coming on to them), people bored in existing relationships when they should end it and be single but don’t.

I think it’s probably a toss up. Men and women both cheat for different individual reasons. It’s unfortunate that humans are hard wired to seek out multiple partners, so that it requires significant effort at times to stay faithful.

Men, in my country men cheat at around 70 % and women around 30 %. But it depend on the country in Thailand women cheat much more at 65 %
