A well balanced person is somewhere aware of who they are, embracing it, as well as the knowledge that they may change as time goes on and being okay with that fact. I more often see well balanced women than men as a result of the communities men and women surround themselves with. I’ve noticed that male communities tend to isolate themselves, you don’t really connect with anyone you don’t already know and the connections you do have as a man are limited in their capacity for what they can provide you. Often you have groups of people who provide different things, this family member for love and advice, this person for emotional vulnerability, this person for shared interests, etc. which is completely different from the inherent ties of a feminine community. Women know women, there are universal female experiences that make us reach out to one another, connect with strangers even for just a brief second, and we don’t necessarily keep friends for specific categories but rather we can apply those things to all the women we know. As a result of this universal support system, women tend to have a better idea of who they are and express it more comfortably.
