Honestly if someone’s just coming out of a long term relationship it can be a honest mistake. Maybe they are so used to saying a certain name that it comes out or they aren’t completely over someone if it’s when you’re first meeting someone that’s one thing.

I will say randomly blurting out someone’s name can be a major red flag whether it’s done by a man or a woman. Even if it’s innocent enough I understand why it can cause some insecurities as well as concerns. At the end of the day if something is bad enough just break off the relationship people who do immature things probably deserve one another. As well as just will make a relationship more toxic then if they had good communication.

It’s important for people to be able to express concerns they have and if it’s only shut down by gaslighting then it’s maybe not worth it. Because as for myself if someone has a concern I want someone to talk to me about it as well as if I have a concern I want to be able to talk about it. Whether we work things out or we end it on good terms it’s by far better then being toxic and refusing to communicate.
