Where do you stand on having kids?

Question

For me, I wanted kids so bad especially last year, but now I'm just like if it happens it happens, but if it doesn't it doesn't.

I'm 33, if I do meet the right guy this year, it will take about a year or 2 before we even think about marriage and kids and by then I would be 34-35. It would be extremely risky. Not that I don't want to have kids anymore but that it seems to be becoming more highly unlikely that I do unless the guy I'm with really wants kids with me despite my age and risk factor.

hey you, i never ever wanted kids, i was very detached,, then at 32 i had a mental break down left my partner, went to wales with my ex husbands ex girlfriend and their kid... and to add a fact six years later i had a daughter on the same birthday as his girl... came to conclusion i wanted a baby drove from wales spent two weeks with my ex and conceived. days within his birth i researched his astrological make up... my universal intention was to create another aries if i conceived within those two weeks... well the universe repaid me with an Aries born on the cusp of pisces but loaded with his fathers scorpio moon, my poor boy has a shit tonne of emotion going on.. at 32 and 35 two babies i can honestly say its old enough... youve lived 33 years of self ness then you can kiss goodbye to the next twenty years... my life time advice to any female is... if you desire to have a child whenever that is... make 100% sure that you feel you can do it alone and provide... because the harsh truth is being a mother is a whole different level of this life game we play... at 22 boy and 19 girl everyday im driven to utter disbelief that I've raised such selfish little shits... to me there are 3 adults in this house but to them im mum who has provided and they dont wanna walk the transition, at 19 i was married and lived abroad, my kids won't even walk up the shop... my two will not have kids based on the world future... my daughter may adopt... im pushing for a girl from china because those kids homes and videos I've seen left a mark... sit and feel, would i be happy if i took a test and was pregnant and would you be happy through the pregnancy and be the whole world to that baby? because man or not its mostly on the woman in my opinion xxx

I have kids’ but I had them when I was in my early 20’s , I became a Dad at 23 years old and I am happy I had them young because now that they are older , I am still young enough to spoil myself and travel and do things I always wanted to do , that I couldn’t do when I had little ones. So at my age now , I couldn’t imagine starting over , why I got a vasectomy after my son was born lol. But As for you , you are still young enough to have kids’ so hopefully in the next few years you will be popping them out and by the time they are in their late teens early 20’s you will still be young as well. Of You hit 40 and still don’t have kids’ you are best to just throw in the towel and not have kids’ unless you want to take care of kids’ when your body starts saying FUCK THIS lol

I always wanted kids. It's not looking like that's in the cards for me. I just spend as much time as I can with my niece and nephew as possible.

I think you have exactly the right attitude about kids yourself. If it happens it happens, if it doesn't it doesn't.

As for the age and risk factor aspect:

Talk to your doctor. Do not listen to anyone's GAG answers about that.

This is a personal healthcare thing.

Your individual situation when it comes to risk and having kids, is going to depend on more than just your age.

For me raising kids was one of the best things I've ever done I think every one should have kids and experience I think one of the deepest meaning in life to set a foundation and then watch them build themselves and become who they choose to be. The way the world is headed you really need to believe thar we are not going to war. Or the USA will not No sabotage there own people. With food banking and tax payers money like they have been doing

when I was younger I was happy and didn’t care if I was married or had kids….

then I found a good man. Married, kids. My last kid was at 36. divorced now.

my ex hubbys new wife had her first at 46 or 47 … all healthy now my kids have a new baby brother so cute.
my sister had her first at 36 or 38. She is due for her second in 2 weeks… she is 41 now… so does get tired easier than say when I had kids in my 30s.
I love children and I work with children…I just want to make sure anyone planning to have kids… read the nonexistent “parenting manual” 😂…having 2 loving parents will bring great kids to this world.. even when times are tough. go get that man who will be your partner in crime and enjoy the journey. I am happily remarried with an amazing guy ❤️ they are out there… you have to be the one to pick… the right one to raise kids/family/life with you. Best ❤️💐

having kids at 34-35 isn't risky at all, you're confusing with 40+. most women can conceive naturally without incidents until they're around 40. the only issue you'd have is every year after 30, fertility declines a bit.

many many women have kids in their mid 30s, it's a very normal age nowadays. for ex my mom had me at 36. so if you want kids, you're still good. just dont wait too long though

personally i do for sure want kids one day but not anytime soon. I'm 24 and i'm far from having my life together and having the maturity to be a parent

It was my life long dream to be a mother and have a medium size family. I love children but because of circumstances beyond my control I only have one son and no husband

We used to joke around about having kids. We'd say "You gotta have kids because who else is going to put you in a rest home except your kids".

relative just had kids and she's like 38 and another had first kid well into her 40's.

but yea, be serious and focus on those guys that are serious. be direct but emotionally in control. in essence, confident, but you may have to lead a bit and reassure.

I didn't want kids. My ex did. At this point I have two sons, fine young men. Kudos to my ex for being right about kids. A huge personality shaping learning experience that most people would benefit from. However, there is a small group of miscreants who should never be parents. And some people who simply choose to not take that path.

Never been all that into it. Cousins, friends and brother had them and when I see how their lives are it reinforces my stance that it's not for me. Sure I tend to enjoy playing with kids and I was always the one who kids would gravitate to at parties because I would join in with their activities because adult stuff was boring af and kids are much more fun.

I couldn't have kids, so maybe that is why I never had the urge to be a father.
The odd thing is, and we both did not know when we met, it isn't something that generally comes up on the first date is that my wife, my 2nd, her 3rd marriage, couldn't have kids either, so sometimes things work out for a reason.

I want kids. Also 34/35 is not extremely risky to have kids. The risks increase after 35 but even then it's still uncommon.
