Being honest I actually agree with your husband. The world is not a safe or good place right now and a lot of bad things are happening. The economy isn't stable and WW3 is around the corner and worse my generation and down don't stand a prayer of ever owning a house or having a family on one income and often even two. Do things look optimistic right now because to me I would feel like we were bringing a child into the world that was doomed to be a serf in the future.

Personally, I think your husband is right. Things are bad right now in the world and not stable and they're getting worse.
