I'm honestly just curios because I have wanted to make friends with some married couples but I always worry about making the wife uncomfortable, I have been cheated on 3 times so I dread ever making another woman think anything like that could happen. Any advice would be helpful.

My wife is wholly fine with me being friends with women (I work in a very female dominate profession) and she's been inquisitive about it but she knows I've been far more accepting of her best friend (they knew each other for years before we met and he was engaged so I had no pangs or flags to worry about) was a guy.
She knows I don't get jealous and would walk out if I got any sense of impropriety and it's not security, it's my values of trust, honour and respect I give that I expect to receive.

1 yOne of my partner's friends is a Woman, they've been friends since college and she's even his son's godmother. I could tell by the way he talks about her that he cares for her like a family member and when I met her I truly felt a brother/sister dynamic between both of them. She's a fairly attractive woman and does modelling, however, this never bothered me because I see how genuine and caring their relationship is towards each other. But if my partner suddenly mentioned a new female friend he's never mentioned before or someone woman he met recently that would make me feel insecure and suspicious.

You'd have to trust each other enough to be content with it.
Some of my closest friends are guys, so I'd be a hypocrite to keep him from having female friends.
Regarding existing friendships, I sure as hell wouldn't want to end those for the sake of my boyfriend's insecurities—new ones might be different.
That's a two-way street.00 Reply
1 yI don't know how this can be stopped. You basically just make friends wherever you happen to be, right? You can't always control if it is male or female. Maybe you can control how close the friendship is. I think marriages that too controlling are not good things to be in.

As a relationship coach, my mission is to sprinkle some good vibes and helpful advice! 😎 It's awesome that you're considerate of others' feelings. Trust is the key here, and communication is your trusty sidekick. Some women are cool with their partners having female friends, while others might raise an eyebrow or two. It's vital to respect boundaries and nurture trust. Keep things transparent and respect everyone's comfort level. Remember, making friends isn't about certificates of approval from everyone; it's about shared respect and understanding. So go ahead, sparkle with confidence and build those friendships! 🥳

Pretty much all my exes hated that I had single female friends’ and told me to not spend time with them without her by my side , So in return , I told her she needs to do the same thing for me then if that’s how she wants to roll. so out of respect for each other , we didn’t spend time with opposite sex friends’ without being together. As for coworkers we didn’t spend time with coworkers’ outside of work without being together. Relationships are built upon trust and respect , If you can’t respect your partner , don’t expect them to respect you , When you are with someone that is respectful and honest with you , you will wear their shoes the same way they will wear yours , Having opposite sex friends’ can add fire into a relationship, same as same sex friends’ as well. It’s better to not spend alone time with your so called friends’ without your partner by your side.

1 yMy wife doesn't like it. She views any female friends I might have as a threat to her, even though I constantly reassure her that they are not.

1 yIt depends on how the girl behaves. When I got with my partner he had lots of girls crop up and start flirting with him just because he was in a relationship. I told him they were not friends and some women are vindictive and to cut them out. He had one girl friend who wasn’t like that so he kept her. I have a few male friends. My best male friend is a lot older and very unattractive. He’s allowed round the house when it’s just me. I would never do anything my partner is uncomfortable with so would always ask permission and it’s ok to say no. I’d like the same respect from my partner and I go with a gut feeling about the girl

1 yAll you women that think you have male friends, you are delusional. You can have male's that you are friendly with. And maybe that is no different then actual friends. But 100% they have thought of having sex with you every way imaginable, even if they never act on it.

1 yA big no! If he has female friends i would not even want to date him. So he would never become my husband. I'm devilish Jealous. So for his safety i would not date him. Cause my jealous ass would probably get crazy ideas to make him deaf and blind.
10 Reply1.8K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I have guy friends so I don't really see a problem here. If there is sp little trust in a relationship that your partner can't have friends of the opposite sex. Then maybe you shouldn't be in a relationship.

1 yI don't really care if they have work mates as long as I never hear about them, he never hangs out with them alone, or texts them. If it was a couple we were friends with I wouldn't really care since we are all friends together.

1 yMy wife doesn't care that I have female friends and I don't care that she has male friends.
If you're worried about them seducing your partner it means you don't trust your partner and THAT would be the problem.00 Reply 2.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. As long as nothing has ever happened between them and as long as they have never had any interest in each other, I am cool with it.

@RedInnocent69 I love how lasee focused protective women get - more than men. Especially if he's a high value man and she's a real looker herself - ain't nobody getting her meat for free without her saying "clears throat, he's told me so much about you, my darling boyfriend" 😂😆😈😈😈 - she knows (hahahahaha) as he sips his drink 🍻🥂
