Do you believe there is a certain age that you should start settling down and trying to find a serious long term relationship and focus on kids if you want them, or do you think that's just something that's pushed upon people as there are so many ways to date and have relationships, and other ways to have kids these days.

No because this doesn’t lead to true love it ends badly a lot of times for both people. Especially stringing someone along pretending to love them but in reality you were just desperate to get married is wrong not only for yourself but to do that to someone else who could have found someone who genuinely loves him/her.

I get it people panic they’re running out of time at the end of the day it’s better to be alone with with someone you’re not happy with. Not wasting your time or the time of someone else. Allowing you to find someone you genuinely love and who loves you back. You can imagine finding out that you been married for a decade or more to someone who never really loved you.

Those marriages tend to fail. Anymore divorce is convenient and not a social taboo. As well as the fact that people aren’t willing to put the effort into stay together and when someone is then it can be one sided unfortunately.

You shouldn’t settle for someone even if you see a lot of marriages. Yes, some of those marriages may make it and be beautiful. Bur a LOT of marriages especially the ones that seem too good to be true you will see fail. Some sooner others later. And you’ll be glad you waited for the right person especially seeing what their kids go through.

I think anytime after you're an adult is fine. Everyone goes at their own pace in life, and not everyone can find someone compatible with themselves. But if you do find someone that is, I'd immediately lock them down and not let them go.

Going out to "experience" life and other people is overrated. The important thing is to find compatibility, and to find compatibility, you need to look for someone with similar views, interests, sense of humour, life direction (whether your goals align), sexual compatibility, etc. If you have all of those, I would look no further.

I think a large issue nowadays is that we're not aligned with how nature intended us to live. Too many women are choosing work and independent life rather than settling down, usually jaded when it comes to men. Their bodies tell them, "Hey, your time's running out. You should have a family soon." But their minds are like, "There's no men worthy of me. There's no benefit to having a man in my life."

And then they end up relatively bitter and without a family later on in life. But that's an argument for another day. I think that feminism has, to an extent, killed the family unit.

I think it’s something that’s just pushed upon us. Not everyone wants kids or is meant to have them. Not everyone wants a partner, and for us that do there’s no age limit on falling in love.

I’m 41 and I’m also the only remaining single girl in my friend group so there’s definitely pressure on me as one friend tries constantly to push me into relationships with single men that she knows and pushes me to go on dates and talk to men (despite being told to back off time and time again lol) and the rest are always always asking me when I’m going to pick out a husband and get married. It’s really annoying tbh, just let me enjoy my single life in peace until I finally meet my future husband (if I meet him).

Yeah, mid 30s-early 40s the latest. Time to plant your roots if that's what you're planning to do. Past 40-42 your bad habits are firmly set and harder to change... it's harder to meet others 1/2-way... harder to chase after kids you may want to have...

Everyone functions on their own timeline and there are so many variables. Not everyone would make a good partner and it is important to be careful in choosing the person who will be your life partner. I think it takes both the right person and the right timing to align if the relationship is going to work.

i think that people under the age of 35 are more likely to be too picky since they still have plenty of options. By the time they hit 40, that is when most of them regret being so picky and start feeling the pressure to settle down.

Most of those who never feel the pressure to settle down and start a family tend to be bad people. People who value relationships, value family, value others tend to want to start families. Those who do not, tend to prefer staying alone

I'm 37 and haven't found the right person but would prefer to remain single rather than settle down with the wrong person because of pressures such as age.
