Im not talking about the people that are in a polygamous relationship cause your committing to the people that are in that circle im talking about the people that dont really commit to anything

Not something I'd do - but I imagine it's really about separating sex needs from emotional needs. Marriage (I guess) provides a stable secure base with a single person you can trust, talk to and be with. And sex on tap. Sex - with others - provides continual excitement, novelty, maybe takes care of certain kinks your partner isn't into, maybe one or both people fear feeling tied down. Like a fearful avoidant. Crave commitment but fear it too. So two fearful avoidants might come to this agreement.

Open marriage may even include swinging etc I guess right?

Me personally don't understand it (and I am fearful avoidant). For me if you want sex with other people you don't love the person you are with. Not real love. Which married or not just makes you friends. Maybe best best friends. But it's not true love.

Aww yeah well I try not to judge people too much for their choices and see different perspectives. Even if it's a choice I couldn't do. I only really have issue with incest type things or involving underage or non consensual. Everything else really isn't my place to criticise.

That largely depends on what you call “open.”

We call our marriage open, but it is just my husband, girlfriend and I and we are all super close, so it is only open to a point. We would never sleep around with just anyone. That is something different again.

That i get cause it still an exclusive relationship. Im talking about the men and women that have a different partner every 3 or 4 days. What's the point in seeing married you could stay single and do whatever you want

If your emotional/physical needs are so great that one person alone can’t fulfill them then I don’t see the point in being married. Just continue on in a polygamous relationship, they can’t marry two people anyway.
