How do you know you're not ready for a relationship?

I want a boyfriend, like I just imagine having my own person. being able to walk late at night with my boyfriend, have movie nights all that stuff. I want to really cherish someone and him to take care of me too. But I am constantly stressed out, like chronically stressed out. I've never had a boyfriend, so I don't know if I could actually be present in a relationship. But being alone is amplifying feelings of loneliness and sadness, even more. I don't know what to do at this point
