Why would you be with someone you don't want to sleep with?

Question

So many people seem to be chasing someone for a relationship and then, once in the relationship, don't show interest in being sexually active. I don't get it. I'd have to be "into" a person who I'm in a relationship with... Perhaps y'all can explain why anyone would be in a (sexually/sensually) lifeless relationship?

No i mean for me. Being in a relationship one of the ways you say thank you and I lo e you is that bond. Is sex. And I dont mean wam bam thank you mam.

For me sex is more than just sex when you can take it to different levels and when you can take your partner to un real out of body experience the spiritual high or feeling changes you and things become clearer when they say become one with self one with others one with the universe everything starts to become more clear

I honestly believe our world is an evil kinda place. And why all of you christians catholic muslim mormon denominations if you go to church every day or weekend. Why are all of you not learning I've never read the Bible and probably won't. Because there is evil in there

A NY way my point I'd by having the right type of sex it teaches you about energy frequency and how to use it. And I believe we're supposed to bring heaven to earth , and that could be done with frequency and energy

No relationship is perfect or 100% compatible, it is an impossibility. What I am getting at is that what makes a relationship work is strong compatibility. The situation you describe of one person being quite physical and the other has lost interest or never had much interest in the physical side of a relationship probably would not work but if you had two more physical people together or two less physical together , there would be a greater chance of success. Through communication and adapting to each others needs, you should be able to find a happy balance between each person that would help a relationship succeed, on the flip side you may realise that there are things that make a relationship very difficult or untenable.
To directly answer your question , some people are asexual and have little interest in the sexual side of things or maybe they have lost a bit of interest preferring comfort, good interaction to the all consuming grand passion of a highly sexed relationship.

I dated guys I wasn’t attracted to and the ironic part is most of them expresses they were not attracted to me either (because they criticized my appearance and wanted to change how I look head to toe even my body).

In these instances I was thinking about getting married so apparently marriage is the goal to the expense of everything else. Just silly.

I think it's more of a girl thing. I don't think there are many guys that would turn sex down. The thing is, girls have more access to sex than men. If they want to get laid the next day, they could if they wanted to. And this is just a guess, but that's probably why they don't value it as much or associate it to being truly intimate with someone.

I personally feel much closer to someone if we're physically intimate. That's why I don't think I can date someone that doesn't want that.

I think - and have said many times - that the four requirements for a healthy long term relationship are mutual lust, love, trust, and respect. If I am not attracted, I do not pursue.

My last girlfriend , after 11 years called me at work one day to tell me she'd just got engaged and had moved out of our place. Turned out it was a guy she claimed not to like , on further investigation found out his father had passed a d left him 2000000.00 dollars , and the fa. ilies vineyards, guess that seemed a better retirement, but I've heard that its no sex. Which can't be easy she was very sexual with me.

Short answer no. One of my biggest love languages is touch and physical intimacy. Both giving and receiving. Without that in a marriage, it's like the world has no color.
