Guys; why would you not want to sleep with your girlfriend?

My boyfriend and I have dated for about a year and a half and I’m his first long term girlfriend.
he has always been shy and not as interested in the sexual side of stuff, but I am more into it and need it more than he does.
Slowly he has become more into it, we are in a long distance relationship due to work so we only see each other once a week, and this means he is quite tired/or we are both tired which affects our time when we do try to sleep together.
He tends to only be able to go once whereas I’m able to go a few times, but the last time he wasn’t really into it at all, I noticed it when I saw him he didn’t kiss me like normal and then he only went once but he always makes sure I’m happy, but this time he didn’t seem into it as usual... I want him to want me more like he doesn’t appreciate me or finds me sexy enough?

A few things could be going on. Before I list them, I would strongly advise you to discuss the matter directly with your boyfriend to get the actual reason (s) from the person with whom you are having these problems.

1. He may be on depression medication. This type of medication lessens the libido.

2. He might be seeing another woman and he feels emotionally torn between the two of you.

3. He might be gay and possibly pursuing a relationship with a man.

4. He may simply have become disinterested in you as romantic partner and he has put you, unbeknownst to you, in the "Friend Zone".

5. He may be on the Asexuality spectrum and is having sex with you merely to keep you as a romantic companion.

Unfortunately if your intimacy is not as it used to be or sexual drive is not as before something is happening for sure and I think you should talk about it. Or at least before talking about it, try to have "day for you two". Go little bit freaky or something and see if that works. And if it doesn't, like I said you two should talk about it, because when sexual drive goes down specially in this case with a guy something is not right.

It must be hard for him given its a long distance relationship, and being tired from work and on top of it all he doesn't have as high a sex drive as you. If sex is that important to you then I feel this relationship is right for either of you at this time. doesn't make either of you bad people, you just dont mesh in a important area and not being able to give eachother the attention you both deserve

I don’t want to break up with him over this, we care about each other and want a future together but it’s an area where we have to compromise maybe? We try to make each other happy but it is definitely hard with our work schedules etc

If you both care for eachother then try finding a compromise and hope that in the future things get easier and more convenient for you both to see eachother regularly.

Some guys drive is very low, while others, like me are high. He may just have a low drive to your med or high one.

at the end of the day... you are both tired that can be a common problem. I would suggest a change in your routine, go to bed 45 minutes early, wake up 45 minutes early for SEX...
