Do you carry any baggage with you in a relationship?

Everybody who has been in a relationship or two carries some baggage with them. And the amount can be small or more than that of a traveling circus. What matters is if it will affect your present relationship, as baggage can cause a lot of new issues with your present flame. What do you carry?

No baggage , what you see is what you get with me , I don’t carry my past to a new partner whatsoever, before I date any girl , I lay everything out on the table for her , to give her a choice on whether she wants to date me or not , I don’t blind side anyone , blind siding someone is disrespectful and pathetic to do to someone. From different paths in life , so someone’s’ past doesn’t really effect me as long as they don’t have a huge reputation for it , then that’s a different story , but otherwise who she slept with or been with prior to me isn’t a big deal because I have girls’ I slept with as well that’s in my past

I think it is unrealistic to ask someone "how does your baggage affect your relationships." The problem is that most people are either unaware of their baggage or they minimize its influence on their relationships. It would be more instructive to ask users how their partner's baggage influenced their relationship and whether the baggae was a deal breaker.

Sure, I don’t think there’s anyone in the world who doesn’t have baggage. Even virgins/people who’ve never dated - baggage can come from friends and family too. As for how it impacts my relationships, it doesn’t to a great extent, but I do openly share my baggage with whoever I’m dating so that they’re aware of it. I don’t hide or lie about anything.

I think in relationships, there can be baggage, like past experiences, expectations of the relationship, or a desire to protect one's emotions. In the past I've not been in many relationships, and recently I have concentrated on my career, so I don't carry any baggage from previous relationships.

Well actually there might be a problem with my next relationship.
The problem is this.
I moved from a small place to a much larger home, and I had collected so many personal items I couldn't move in my current home.
Now I'm still cluttered, after sorting everything out, and although my place is not very big, we'll need a huge place for all my belongings if we were to live together, expecting my partner would have a few items herself.

Nope sorry, all of my baggage was checked at the door. I am still friends with my ex. No anger or animosity to bring anywhere. I also will not get into a relationship with someone that has not forgiven their ex (s). I do not want a threesome with her and her ex (s).

Well you can't do it yourself. You need help so don't hold it in. Go seek assistance through a mental health facility or provider. It will never get better on your own. You need guidance and to be with others, like maybe in a support group.

There's a big difference between being wanted and being obligated. I hold myself up because I have to, because no one else will. Those who are in romantic relationships have their partners to help lessen their burden & stress to help them get through life. being wanted is such a lifting feeling that therapy can't replace or replicate.

im in the process of finding out, I escaped a really bad 10 year relationship (my only relationship) and recently got a boyfriend again. I was abused a lot and am afraid im going to be really timid or flinch cause I don’t wanna get hit again

I think it's only natural to... But we have to control it and not let it affect our current relationships.

I don’t have any at the moment, my kids are all grown and I have my own house, ex wife is remarried so nothing really that would be a problem for any potential relationship for me but I’m still single still
