can only acknowledge it accept it learn from it and move on.
Our reminders are very powerful and somet.\nImes, when we see or we feel the things that we do and\nWe wish we would've made it work. It doesn't really matter , because it takes two to. make it work.
That's why I always say you have to find yourself first. Love yourself first before anybody else, anything else? Because that way , you understand it in all the positive ways and the negative ways
That way when something doesn't work out.
You're not going to sit still and dream and wait and wish
You're going to have that internal love that you have for yourself? That's going to make you stand up and move on.\n Cause, you know, that's the only thing in the right thing to do, because you're gonna have to do it sooner or later, but when you truly love yourself. You have the confidence in the wisdom to know that it's not the end of the world and this was just a learning experience because you know that there's somebody out there for you10 Reply

7 moWhat’s meant to be will be if you pray and walk with God. Some people are the right people for one another in a season. Maybe it’s to teach you a lesson, maybe you needed one another or were beneficial in one another’s lives for a period of time. But that period of time ends.
Sometimes that being only for a season others are a lifetime. Other times someone was never meant to be but people get too carried away in emotions and just don’t see a persons true colors.
Sometimes it’s God’s way of protecting someone and you see later on that you probably dodged a bullet. What did Garth Brooks say? Some of God’s greatest gifts are unanswered prayers. Trust me there are girls I used to like sweet beautiful girls…. And I see them now and I am…. Thankful I was never with them. I used to kick myself “why didn’t I talk to her she obviously liked me” and now it’s just. Thank God I never did.
But that isn’t always the case. Sometimes people are genuinely good people. Who aren’t meant to be in the long run. Plus, sometimes people change and other times you change while someone else stays the same. Making you not compatible anymore.

@Mikeyyy999 I’m answering a question
7 moTime usually makes it clear.
If thinking about them still feels like loss and not longing, they were a lesson.
If the memory still feels like an unfinished chapter even after you’ve grown, healed, and moved on with your life, then maybe they were the one that got away.
Most people aren’t “the one.”
They’re the step that teaches you what your heart can’t ignore the next time.10 Reply

Emphasis learning in interpersonal relations with other human beings, romantic relationship belong in this category too, lies in the lesson you have to sort actions in intentional BS, unintentional BS and honesty. The more often you do this task the less illusory you're about love.10 Reply

Hey, love seeker! 😉 Figuring out if someone was "the one that got away" or just a pit stop on the road to true love is like trying to decide which ice cream flavor will be your forever fave. Look for the lessons they taught you; if they made you grow, they're a lesson. If you still feel their absence, maybe they were "the one." Either way, trust the journey and keep your heart open. Love always finds a way to surprise you! 💖✨

7 moWell, you just imagine what an ideal relationship looks like to you and compare. If they didn't truly make you happy being with them, then you can't always find better.
That's the thing about relationships though. There's no such thing as a soulmate. There's just people who are compatible with you and those that aren't. Some are more compatible than others and you just try to find someone with as high compatibility with you as possible. You usually only find them in the vicinity you're living in, which is a small region of the world.10 Reply 4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic. If someone truly loves you , they won’t go away , they will stand by you and fix whatever is broken between you both , the ones that walk away , should be the lesson learned , to never do again. Never take an ex back into your life , because they never truly loved you to begin with , they just loved the convenience of you , of what they could receive from you , because if they truly loved you , they wouldn’t be your ex period

7 moEither way, it sounds as though you learned a lot about yourself and grew through the process.
Maybe I'm contrarian but... I have never understood the 'One' philosophy. Indeed I remember thinking the whole thing is nonsense when I was like 8 years old. Hear me out.
- Assuming you have a gender preference, there are 170 million potential life partners out there in the United States.
- Most people are goodish people on average. Let's call that 120 million.
- Lots share core values with you and have interesting life experiences and perspectives and future life goals. Let's call that say 30 million.
- Half of them aren't complete nutjobs. Let's call that 15 million.
- And half of them have shared interests and are somebody you can laugh with. That's 7.5 million.
- A small majority, say 60%, are not so ugly that you cringe at the thought of physical relations with them.
So that's 4 million 'Ones' perfect for you in just one country. (And I feel my heuristic filter has been overly strict.) Go out and find one, not One, near you!!!

7 moI personally don’t believe in finding the prefect one, I’m not sure who created this believe, because I’m pretty every person we’ve ever dated in our lives we think they were the one. No one is the the ONE , I think movies , books and social media had wired us to Think this way, Bengal l because we can literally pick up any stranger on the street and your relationship work, not by judging past with present or ticking the box to see what satisfied us, but have you satisfied them because relationships isn’t a one way street

7 moThe idea of the one that got away is a fallacy.
Some people might think it’s the Schrodinger’s girlfriend or whatever, Where you don’t know if they were your life partner or not until they are your life partner, But they are wrong.
A key part Of being your life partner is Being able to work things out with you and wanting to work things out with you, if they got away, clearly, they didn’t meet one of those two criteria.10 Reply794 opinions shared on Relationships topic. Every previous relationship is something you can learn from. I stopped believing in a one person you were "meant to be with" as its just a matter of what your willing to accept. If they are the "one that got away" then you did something to cause that that could have been avoided if you really felt it was worth the effort.

I don't believe that it really matters. Just live in the moment and enjoy what is in front of you right now. Your new guy.10 ReplyI've fallen in love many times. You keep the good aspects of every relationship (or lack of a relationship) and forget the rest. Eventually you will settle for one person. Is he/she the real one for you? You can never be sure.

7 moYou can't know that until you find "the real one." And you'll always remember :the one that got away," but ultimately it will simply be just another chapter in your life.

7 moYou’ll know when you meet the real one. If you don’t, then they’re the one that got away. But even if you do meet the real one, you can still have two possible true loves.

I used to trust quickly and fall for girls quick but now taught my lesson. To find a girl for marriage I have to see if she is my good friend first otherwise I won't get high hopes now.
