What would you do if your established partner was moving away?

Inspired by a question I saw yesterday. If you were in a relationship that had lasted 6 months or more and your partner was moving 10-12 hours away by car or bus/train what would you do? Would you try to go with them, break up, or enter a long distance relationship?

Well from your description it kinda sounds like my partner made the decision all by herself without consulting / considering me so if that was the case … the relationship was clearly over in her eyes anyways.


Should she have consulted me there is more than a few moving parts here and the answer isn’t simple at all.


Thinking of my present situation my gut tells me I would likely let her go and the relationship would end.
