Why do you think rich, wealthy people or doctors are generally more sophisticated (less violent) in their crimes?

For instance a male stalker (common criminal mentality) that got rejected or dumped, will likely stab his victim.

However, suddenly rules changed when it's someone very wealthy or they're doctors. They can still have violent tendencies and even be narcissists or psychopaths but they generally don't use brute strength (direct violence) even if they are strong. If they want to eliminate someone (a friend, family member of even their own wife/husband), they tend to research about poisons, hire others to do their dirty job while having an alibi (ex: be in another state when the person got killed) build up or even orchestrate a false accident.

In this example a NY podiatrist made two attempts to have his wife killed. His methods are the way a female would do. The first was about staging an accident and the 2nd was hiring a hitman. He didn't use direct, exteme violence, disfigurement nor strangulation. Poor woman, to have escape that monster.

Intelligence, self-control (which is partly why they’re rich/highly educated to begin with) and having more to lose so they try harder to not get caught.

They know brute violence is traceable, messy, and screams “impulse.” Poison, hitmen, staged accidents feel “clean,” distant, and ego-protecting.

Also, big education and high status can supercharge narcissism. They feel smarter than everyone, so they prefer mastermind-style crimes instead of getting their hands dirty. Same darkness, just wearing a suit instead of a ski mask.
