I (INFJ) find it helpful, seeing as I communicate well with people who identify as intuitive (N). I like living in the land of ideas and the abstract and would like to share that with my partner. I feel like with sensors, it's this tug of war between the abstract ideas and the grounded reality (which I frankly have zero contact with).
I've also realized that most of the men I'm attracted to fit the ENTJ or INTJ type.
But there are no two types that belong together. Do not believe in golden pairs.
heyy fellow INFJ haha
Haha yeah! I was happy MBTI was brought up for once š What type are you?
Intjs and entjs having no feelings is a stereotype. Once you get to know them and they open up, you quickly find this is untrue. They just aren't as emotionally expressive on the outside. Which I admit, I find attractive. I love earning that rare smile. And how intimate it feels when they open up.
And they are highly innovativeI love talking about ideas with Xntjs. This one INTJ I know is into world building and loves getting lost in his imagination. It is rare for an Xntj to lack imagination. Don't know why you would think this.
Well, if you said that, I would have been more inclined to agree with you. But you implied I was into men with no emotion and imagination. I like men who rationalize. And you are right that the rational mind predominates the emotional one for these types. But emotionless men are incapable of having a relationship of value. And men who lack imagination are boring.
They are probably the more traditionally 'masculine' types. I am not ashamed to admit I like masculine men š
I am also autistic, so I prefer less 'emotional clutter' to process. These types are also great at direct communication, which is such a relief.
Some women, however, might find relationships with these types lacking in romance, preferring emotional men who are more expressive with their love. I don't think women who say this are lying.
This person is giving major incel vibes. Id ignore him @VioletHaze
Sorry @VioletHaze you had to had those conv with that woody dude. I just removed all his mean comments esp the new one and blocked him š„² I donāt like to block, but I donāt need someone being rude on my post esp when youāre so nice and trying to rationalize with him. Iāve been away for one day on here and so much has happened, Iām sorry about that girl š©·
Lol good job Boba. I had him blocked already.
Yeah i got the notification too. Incels are no go lol!
Haha no worries. I chose to. Sometimes I engage people like that out of boredom. Incels also make me feel bad, especially considering a lot of incels are autistic like me.
You are sweet though ā¤ļø
I used to engage them for kicks too but then i just ran out of patience and block them on sight lol
It would be difficult to say with 100% accuracy which combinations would be compatible with which in an emotionally-charged romantic relationship. MB is primarily for educational and professional assessment, where our emotional "core" is secondary to our intellectual engagement.
I think there is some truth to it. Certain traits do better paired with other traits. There is science behind that. You witness it every day when you see people interacting with each other. But I don't think it's set in stone. There are plenty of couples who thrive with opposing MBTI types. But I would say the majority of them do? No. So again, there is some truth to it.
Well, I'm either Yoda (INTP) or R2-D2 (ENTP) with equal probability.

Which according to your table means I'm romantically compatible with almost everyone. Groovy.
My aim on GAG is to decode love, attraction, and all those messy little feelings we pretend we ātotally understandā 😏
Myers-Briggs is fun and can explain communication styles, needs, and red flags, but itās not a magic soulmate detector. Romantic compatibility depends more on emotional maturity, communication, attachment style, and values. Use MBTI as a tool, not a rule. Chemistry > letters.

I don't know... it's not something I think about
what I do know for sure is that... my exes had different personalities, and I would get along with all of them extremely well so maybe "compatibility" is not really that complicated... or it doesn't have to be, lol
Oh bro! I was into a lot of personality quizzes and psychological things growing up. :) I did not touch anything about my future. What I do in the future is solely up to me! There are many things out of our control, so I'm going with wherever the flow will take me! Plus, one look at an aspect of the future will make you biased.
Please forget that simplistic nonsense. It's just one step above of getting a personality analysis from a Gypsy fortune teller at the county fair.
I am a analyst personality and would not want to be with someone like me. because that wouldn't add anything. I have logic locked down.
It seems to suggest I will pair best with intuitive or feeler. It might cause differences because decision is coming from different places. As a couple we'd cover more bases.
I'm an INFJ.
Yes, I think Feelers need to stick with each other. They find people who are too cut and dry, insensitive.
NF's usually go well with each other. I think an INFJ and ENFJ balance each other out quite well.
Not true. INFJ are wizards & warlocks, with the wizards being right wing & the warlocks being leftists.
I'm an intj. Sounds correct yes. While I don't believe in pure accurate results around this, it does show a tendency in your character. As for romance and matching, I don't believe that makes any difference.
I kind of consider its importance as valuable and truthful as astrology, which admittedly isn't that valuable to me. I don't think it is possible to divide human behavior and what consists of personality into 16 boxes. But I could be entirely wrong.
Hi everyone, I am an INFJ and would like to believe that people falling in love is a spontaneous event. Well at least that's what it seemed like when I was younger, now I'm not so sure how people get on. The world is just not so simple anymore is it?
I took this long ago. I think i was in the explorer category⦠maybe ISTP?
ill take it again later. Got work in a few. :p
ENTP kinda sounds like me too. Im definitely a seeker or truth type guy
Ok took the test on my break:
āYour personality type is:
Advocate
INFJ-A ā
As an INFJ (Advocate), you possess a unique combination of idealism and insight that sets you apart in todayās world. Your rich inner life is characterized by complex emotions, vivid imagination, and a deep well of empathy that allows you to connect with others on a profound level. You have an unwavering commitment to your principles and an intense desire to make a positive impact on the world around you.
Your natural ability to understand and interpret the feelings and motivations of others is both a gift and a challenge. While it enables you to form deep, meaningful connections and offer invaluable support to those around you, it can also leave you feeling overwhelmed by the emotions and needs of others. You often find yourself torn between your desire to help and your need for privacy and solitude.
Well ill be. Well it does feel like me fir sure lol
im watching a ton of youtube videos on infj now! haha. thanks Boba. needed a good reminder! Looks like we're pretty rare too. :o :D https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5WK3qO9GEKE
now im super curious about yours lol.
yeah i feel like mine changed too over the years. i can't remember what it used to be though!
oh man i would have to really know this test backwards and forwards to really guess you but hmmm... ill give it a shot. gimme a moment lmao *thinking*
ok just reading those small descriptors imma guess you're either INFP? orrrr ISFJ? just in the short time (a month now) that i have gotten to know you.
Sooo did i get it right? lmao
my reasoning is you seem all about feeling deep inside you but you are very friendly and have great people skills. something like that haha
Iām an INFJ and Iām not sure about romantic compatibility, but I definitely agree with everything the test results say about me lol..
ohh another one like me wow :D
@Still-alive oh you too? Haha.. you agree with what the results say about you?
Well the whole description of it seems fairly accurate about who i am. yeah i almost feel a sense of accomplishment because its the result of a lot of hard personal growth on my end to get to this personality type. so i feel pretty happy with this result haha. Apparently we are super rare though!
Yknow who else was INFJ like us? The Austrian painter.
Notice how this guy was trying to call us hitler just by having the same personality type? Lol š
I guess there's some truth to it but also a lot of guesswork.
I think it's probably mostly false. The entire Myers-Briggs scale has extremely low validity and reliability and was not professionally constructed. I am trained in test construction, and I know bad tests when I see them. This is a bad one.
I donāt know if I believe it, Iām an ISFJ and donāt seem to attract the predicted ESFP type 😂
No, it's been proven to be nonsense, but people are always drawn to the irrational.
You can't really prove it nonsense as it's a theory test used to measure personalities. It's not some sacred tablet built by aliens which tells us how the world works or anything. Moats tests are pretty ineffective & science only tells us as much as a spreadsheet can tell.
I'm not sure I even believe in that stuff
I get ENTJ / ENFP depending on the test.
I tool the love one and got this
Storge + Agape
Companionate + Selfless Love
@Telekinetic-Potato do you resonate more with ENTJ or ENFP?
Ohhhh, I never took those love tests! Can you share the link? I wanna take it too! :D But aw your results sounded really sweet... :) hehe
@MrChinaski I'm saying I don't really agree with the mentality of the test. I think everyone has aspects of all the personality types. That these relationships are best described totally differently than either you have a specific trait or don't. I view it more of a fun pop-culture thing than a scientific tool.
@Telekinetic-Potato both matches you very well, misteruh potato, the ENTJ-ENFP.
@Telekinetic-Potato I agree. It is used in front-line supervision training, though. The only real message is that people are different because they are different people. It serves that role well.
So what is yours
But really this test is not right because. I see and feel you as having a little bit of each one of those in you
And I believe ending on the day and what's happening, you could actually become at least 4 of those if\n I was to talk to you for like 10 minutes or something. II could dial it down but I can only tell you from maybe the questions that you have asked or answered, that's not very much to go on but I know I could dial it in
I think of it as a flawed, but often helpful, tool in your toolkit
The Meyer-Briggs is nonsense. It's about as scientific as astrology.
Probably more accurate than zodiac compatibility and Chinese zodiac compatibility; but honestly it isn't as important as shared goals and values.
I think mine is accurate
Whats yours? š¤
@Still-alive ENFP
Yup. Agreed lol š
ENTJ compatible with EN** ES**
I think it's just fancy astrology.
I have taken them for a job and they seem accurate
Have you taken it! I love your profile pic
I'm not sure, maybe.
Nerd horoscope strikes again
I dont interested them. Just I live my life 😏
I think it's probably crap. 💩
Pass.
True
This is work!
