uh, it took a long time. but I actually like caring for others especially those whom are heart broken. It feeds me more. go figure. Maybe I really am Jesus, but with a lot of little devil still? It's probably all those little Debbies I had as a kid.

Being nice you have to realize, others will use you, take advantage and they don't think like you. They will even abuse you, so keep your strength and boundaries. Some, you just have to stay away from the same you'd stay away from a leech.

I realized in my 30's, then in my 40's, I realized, the world is a really shitty place, we need more nice people. I do my best to keep the negative at bay. and not let it affect me. It's a work in progress but I think it's helping.

I would not say being nice is a problem. I would say being nice in an unbalanced, poorly sanctioned, ill informed, or self-destructive way is the problem.

If you fulfill your duty, and avoid bad behaviour, people won’t even notice you are a nice person, because your kindness will be so predictable and standardized according to everyday expectations.

People only notice your kindness when it is unusual or excessive.
