I don’t think it’s a good idea to start a vicious cycle like that
First the relationship is good then it goes bad and ends
But then you try again and it’s good again, then goes bad and ends


So now your brain knows that you can expect a few weeks of “good” every time you retry and it fools you into ignoring the “bad” and the “end”

Yes, that happened to me. A girl I lived with and was dating cheated on me with a coworker and we broke up three months later she came back pleading and we ended up getting married a few years later. The problem is a lot of the character flaws that led to the cheating led to other problems. Without getting into specifics, she developed habits that were very destructive and led to the end of our marriage and eventually well, never mind. My point being is that we tend to romanticize relationships the farther away we get from them. We tend to forget the reason we broke up in the first place. There’s nothing wrong with giving it another chance, but don’t make it something. It’s not. That was my mistake.

Bull Hoosh Ha! Like the song says it's even better than before. Sometimes people need some time to step away from a relationship only to find out that they can't stop 🛑 thinking about the other person and they miss them so much that it's well worth it to give it another shot.
