Why do people mock me for being happily single most of my life?

I loved being single when I was younger. I could schedule my day totally around my own needs, buy only what I like, befriend only people I like, and worship on my schedule and not according to a boyfriend or husband. I have missed having free time because my market research takes up almost my entire social life. I miss taking forever to wash dishes because I had spare time and was not in a hurry to finish as soon as possible. I miss drinking coffee at Starbucks and having conversations about God with strangers. Now I am too busy to leave the house.
