Anonymous(45 Plus)3 moWait is. I don’t know one man that would ask a woman for $300. Most men are taught to be the providers, to take care of their girl. This should also be an eye opening moment to you as well that he doesn’t even have $300. Chances are he isn’t good w money.

Never has a guy I dated asked for money. If a guy asks you for money, that tells me you are insecure and desperate. He can see it in your attitude and actions. Otherwise, he would never ask.

It works both ways. Hitting the gym, reading books, having a sense of humor... lots of ways to attract people. Lead with your wallet or make people aware that you have it... that's when you'll attract those people. But yeah you're right... I'm not trying to get between her legs because of money... probably pretty toxic if that was the reason.
3 moYes, although I've heard of men who do this to test women. Usually rich and miserly, selfish men. Drop him like a hot potato.

I cut him off today I told him even tho I like him I feel like he’s playing me and block his number

Good idea. I'm sorry that happened to you. My advice to you is to go out into the world and meet better people. I can assure you that good men do still exist, there just aren't as many of them as there once were and we won't find them online. Often we don't find them through mutual friends, either, usually through things like TAFE, Uni, theatre groups, choir groups and church groups and bars.

My aim here on GAG is to help you decode dating behavior and avoid walking into emotional (and financial) traps.
Yes, massive red flag. 🚩
New guy + money request = boundary violation. A healthy, stable man won’t expect financial help from someone he just started dating. That’s how lovebombing-and-then-using-you often starts. Protect your wallet and your heart, keep it distant, and don’t feel guilty for saying no.00 Reply

The only thing he's doing right now Is being stupid And he's proven to you how he's going to take care of you
He's showing you exactly who he is without even knowing it00 Reply4.6K opinions shared on Relationships topic.
For the most part yes it is , , it would be a turn off to me as well , especially if we just started dating , but it would also come down to how much they were asking for as well , if they asked for like 20 bucks , not that big of a deal , but if they are asking for a higher amount of money , I wouldn’t
Date them anymore , I came across a few girls’ that shortly after dating me they were asking for money and I walked the other way00 Reply
3 moYeah a million percent. Why does someone need money from someone they just started dating?
12 Reply- 3 mo
The guy I talk to said he got injured so he been out of work that’s why he need money
- 3 mo
I can see that. But I would be suspicious

2 moAre we talking ten bucks just to pay for parking or something? Or a lot more? Unless he’s asking you to pay him back for something it’s a huge red flag. Vice versa is very true as well.
He must be really good looking and/or charming to attempt this. Most guys feel pathetic asking for money.00 Reply
3 moYeah it's a red flag.
You know those red pill guys that complain about women that go for them just to get their money? They don't like the idea of being seduced, tricked into "love" and then only to find out they were being taken advantage of for money.
That's what you're dealing with except the gender is switched.

3 moNot at all... by the way you got like 20 bucks? I left my wallet at home. Lol. Yes I think it's a red flag in my opinion unless it was literally like 5 bucks because they needed cash and they didn't have any on them and they actually give it back to you lol.

He ask for 300
- 3 mo
That's some bull shit. No. Because im old enough to be your Dad, I opened an inflation calculator, backed it up to 2004 when I was your age, and said I would probably be ok with a 20 bucks oopsie I forgot my wallet, and adjusted for inflation in today's dollars that's 35.66. So anything more that that is bull shit to ask to borrow from a person you just started dating lol.
Ok I'm kind of joking with the 35 bucks but yeah that sounds like a red flag at 300. Did they say why they need it and if they'd pay it back? - 3 mo
Because he out of work due to injury and he need to pay on his car insurance and buy him some food and he did say he would pay me back but he keep changing the day about when he get money from his injury
- 3 mo
Yeah I say don't do it. This is not your responsibility and he shouldn't be comfortable asking you for money this soon. That's just my opinion
- 3 mo
Well I cut him off because he ask me again. N plus he haven’t talk to me in a month and text me again about borrowing some money
- 3 mo
Good call. It's unfortunate that people sometimes try to take advantage of others kindness. Based on what you're told us here, it seems like that what he was trying to do. Have a good day.
- 3 mo
It's the oldest scam in the book. Dump him. Don't even discuss it. Just dump him.
1.5K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Yes. It goes both ways too.
However I don't have problem with dating costs if there is a big disparity between my discretionary income and hers but I would expect us to be able to have fun at lower cost places/activities. If I wanted to to a high end restaurant it would be wrong for me to expect a split bill that she can't afford. In effect I would be spending her money in doing that.
The threshold is between joint activities and purely personal expenses like rent, gas etc.
00 Reply689 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I don't know of any guys who do this, but I'm sure it happens. I saw a Judge Judy case where a girl met a guy on Bumble and they went on a date and she started asking him for money that he was suing her for. He won the case.

3 moDid he ask for money or did he ask you to pay for something?
15 Reply- 3 mo
He ask for money to pay on his car insurance and buy him food since he’s out of work due to injury
- 3 mo
You gotta figure if he needs it this month he'll need it next month too but that should be enough time to find even a temporary job while he's looking. So I think the math for you is are you willing to do it next month too?
Better stay on top of him if you do. They say the woman makes the man so my advice if you go for it is encourage him when he tries, challenge him when he doesn't and make him prove that he respects you enough that fucking you over isn't an option. - 3 mo
Honestly I cut him off today he ghost me for a month and came back wanting sex n money I don’t have time for it.
- 3 mo
Sounds like the right move to me haha
- 3 mo
@Foxylady24 lol sounds like justifiable ghosting for a month is a good enough reason for cutting him off 😂 I can’t help but envision the guillotine urinal picture I saw the other day when she said she cut him off lol especially after saying he wanted sex and money lol he forgot to ask for drugs aye? Lol isn’t that the package when you are after sex& money? 😂
3 moİts actually sound weird especially if this is our first time to start a relationship in time of course I have spend money for her but asking for money at the begining makes me think that she wants me for financial reasons
