Why would God even want for humans to continue reproducing at this rate when He sees what His children do to the planet, how they make wars, how they kill innocent children and women and how some of His children become so evil.

No, children are not a gift from God because He would have made sure that those children, which incidentally are supposed to be an image of Him would not do what they do.

There is no difference between children conceived by married couples or those conceived in an affair. Both are identical because people do not make children believing that it is the work of God but solely the result of fornication or copulation, to use religious terms.

Kids conceived in an affair are still innocent, still human, still valuable. The circumstances are the red flag, not the child. The affair is a sin / mistake, but the baby isn’t. Think: bad choice, good outcome. Condemning the child for the parents’ actions is emotional cruelty, not spirituality.
