You got your family members who are easy to bring around… and then there are the ones you feel like you need to give a disclaimer for first… lol
I definitely have an aunt like that. She’s blunt, unapologetic, and sometimes a little rude, so anyone meeting her would absolutely need a warning in advance.

Unfortunately, yes. My oldest sister is a complete two-faced bitch and loves to talk about people behind their back. My parents never corrected her behavior growing up, apparently because she inherited the "OCD Cleaning Gene" from my mother, which aligned her with my mother. Otherwise, she got her insufferable personality from my godmother, and like her spends a significant portion of her day talking shit about people. And they are both lonely and bitter.

My younger sister is completely normal and sweet, and has been married for 25 years and has two kids, but she was raised right. I was always baffled by my parents ignoring my oldest sister's bad behavior. Not only is she paying for it, but everyone else in the family also pays for it because she lives with my parents, which means we have to deal with her.

I mean every thing you said about your Aunt
With every word I read I pictured my sister and started thinking is she talking about my sister are we related lol. Sounds like they could be twins

I mean I could say everything you did about my sister and then try to back her play and say " but she means well" but I can't even say that. But I can say she has gotten better

But im not really for sure and then you can always try to pretend you lost your voice and try to use sign language
But that's hard to do if you don't know it and your middle finger does most of the talking

I do. I have a certain family member that is unpredictable. She comes off as kind/caring which while not unnecessarily untrue can change at the flip of a switch to where is can be quite nasty. The other side always comes out eventually and it’s better to prepare the other person so they’re not caught off guard/know how to handle her 😅

Wdym 1? It's basically everyone in my family lol. So many of them are close minded and misogynist and a bunch of gossiping insects. I think the only person I would not worry around my partner is my sister, my parents are pretty open minded but they unintentionally say out of pocket stuff too lol.

Oh yeah, I’ve got that person. My uncle. Zero filter, maximum chaos. He’ll ask about exes, kids, sex life, salary… in the first 10 minutes. Total walking red flag for social situations.

Yes, my aunts husband. Our family tends to lean towards people's rights & towards accepting people. Because of this, on the whole, they find Donald Trump abhorrent. He somehow managed to go all in for Trump, and thought it was appropriate a couple of years ago to put a bunch of Trump gear into our White Elephant Christmas Gift game and couldn't understand why it was considered tasteless (we dont talk politics at family gatherings despite all of us being active).

Combine this with his personal arsenal, and his SWAT training, we are now leary
