Did my reaction at work make my friend act distant even after I apologized?

I was upset that day and I even apologized to him now his been acting little distant and giving me more space than I anticipated… you think it can be due to what I said? I just feel like if he accepted my apology he should be okay bc when I said sorry he said it was fine but now days later his been really acting distant I mean to say we where friends I wouldn’t say all that but I doubt he was that concerned in first place

If it’s only been a matter of days then give it time to blow over. You don’t have to concern yourself with how he’s acting, you’re at work and that should be the focus. On top of that you weren’t even friends, making it worth even less energy. Move on.

He was basically saying I’m trying to get out of this “job” joke or not but I didn’t find it funny and usually he be nice and there little more to it but he came and apologized to me the save day and I was still butt hurt and that’s when he asked if I’m okay and I replied and said don’t be concerned about me
