Change dentist if I were you... there is a moral code according to which doctors of any kind shouldn't date their patients so it is very unlikely he'd break that rule so don't get your hopes up. I can share an experience of my own on this score actually. . a year ago I had to get a tooth replaced and the dental surgeon who had to do the job was young and he started to flirt with me from day one. The attraction was there so I naturally flirted back. On the last day we saw each other he invited himself to my home and I said that sure he could. But I got royally stood up without even a courtesy of a message. So that's why I'm warning you that probably nothing will come of it and you'd do best to change dentist because it might not be such a great experience for you.
