I have a crush on my dentists assistant, what do I do?

Okay so I'm 15, and guys NEVER acknowledge me. They never look at me, never smile at me, never say hi, I have no guy friends, I've never had a boyfriend, I've never kissed anyone and so on. Wherever I go guys never make eye contact with me even if I look at them. I feel like guys just don't want anything to do with me. If I try to talk to them they just avoid me.

I'm not overweight or anything, like am I that ugly that guys can't even look at me? I think I'm average, like a 5/10 maybe.

Anyways, I was at the dentist today and had a surgery performed in my mouth. The assistant called my name, which no guy has ever done before except for family. It made me feel seen, and then he told me to follow him. Guys never communicate with me, so this made me like him.

And under the surgery I was very stressed. He helped me, when I bled from my mouth he used this device to suck up the blood, and he also held my lips up so that the dentist could see what she was doing. I've never really felt the touch of a man, so when he held my lips it made me feel something. He also put this paper over my chest so that blood wouldn't come on my shirt, and he touched my collarbones. He also made eye contact with me. Now I have a crush on him.😢 And he's like in his late thirties.

I know he doesn't like me, he's just doing his job. But this shows how much I'm ignored by guys that as fast as a guy gives me a little bit of attention I fall in love with him.

Also this all happened on Valentine's day. 😭

Considering your age, and his, I would very much advise that you avoid acting on any desire to communicate with him about your crush. While he seems attentive and polite, he also was performing his job duties as he was trained. I know you're aware of this, as you had said, but its still a good lesson to keep in mind when you get older: it's never a good idea to confuse 'interest' with 'employment'. Also bear in mind that while he may not reciprocate any of these desires towards you, the act of you demonstrating any towards him can be more than enough to cost him his job and even his lifestyle, and that would be incredibly unfair. Also, I feel like I must add, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself and your body image. Your body will never stop changing and while you may not be happy with it now, it may become something you're more comfortable with in the future. Not to mention boys your age will notice you changing as well so you may end up getting noticed after all. Just give yourself some slack, you don't need all the answers right now, focus on the positives and be happy. Life will line up in due time.

Maybe they do, maybe they don't- girls do start developing before boys do (statistically speaking) so you've got a head start on becoming an adult. Boys are also very shy at first, starting their own changes into manhood as well. You've got the rest of your life ahead of you, there's no reason to jump headfirst into something now. What is happening now won't be happening forever, and that's something to keep in mind no matter what. Whether it's in your mind, in your life, in your world- a lot can change in a year, or five, or ten. I can tell you that at your age, I absolutely had crushes too. But I also cannot tell you a single name of any of them, because they turned out to be of so little importance in the long run.

Don't act on it. I know a 15 year old girl who likes me. She used to call me everyday until I stopped it. If I allow or encourage her to act on it (like touching, kissing, physical intimacy, etc), my life would be destroyed for maybe a long time. I'd go to jail, I would be hated by society, and won't find most of my life pleasurable because she's still a child and I'm an adult. So, don't do anything!

Like someone said earlier, you found qualities you like in someone (attention, kindness, protection, etc), look for those qualities in boys your age, but, don't spend most of your teenage years looking/waiting for a guy to like you. Enjoy your teenage years and have fun because you won't get it back, you have many many years ahead of you and you'll surely find someone who loves you to the moon and back.

And remember, you're just 15, you're still growing, you'll become more beautiful and attractive as you grow older. When I was your age, I felt the same way, hated my hairy body, my height, face, etc., because no girl liked me or was attracted to me. But as I got older, I became more handsome, taller, more muscular, more self confident because I know my worth and now I've got many girls crushing on me till date, even girls older than I am.

You're still young, there's a lot of beauty waiting to be unlocked. Love yourself, be more confident, know your worth and don't let any boy trick you into believing you're not beautiful. Tip: most guys don't like insecure girls, so be yourself, love yourself, be more confident.
