My husband (35m) and I (30f) are expecting our first baby together. I noticed he started following his ex on instagram so I asked him why the sudden follow and if they were talking. She’s married too. He said she followed him so he followed her back and he doesn’t care about seeing her posts. He proceeds to tell me that I’m so insecure and a stalker because I looked at his instagram.

Yes, his reaction is more disrespectful than the follow itself. Following an ex isn’t automatically a red flag, but dismissing your feelings, calling you “insecure” and a “stalker” while you’re pregnant is. That’s gaslight-y.
