Taking my 5 year old and moving to another state to leave my husband and the drug problem he hid from everyone his whole life before our son got old enough to connect the dots on who his dad really was and before it had any real effect on him. I wasn't as scared leaving as I would have been to stay, but yeah, it was scary still.
