How can I overcome driving anxiety and get my license at 25?

Im 25 (my boyfriend is 28) and I still dont know how to drive. Get Anxiety Everytime i stepped into traffic. While My boyfriend get drivers licence before 18 and get car and driving in huge traffics and miles of roads before like 20 without lifting finger.

You should check to see if there’s any “re-introduction to the road” classes near you! I’m not sure if that’s exactly what they’re called but I heard about this more recently and as someone who hasn’t driven years due to my driving anxiety, I am definitely going to look into it.

I was poor when I was young, so never drove, went to the military and was overseas most of my adult life, never drove. Then I came back to the states and cars are pretty much a necessity here. I was like 28 when I first touched a car at all, so I know the feeling. To top that I wasn't out in the country where driving is pretty simple and stright forward.

It took years and it's easy for some random roadwork or having to go somewhere unfamilure to make my knuckles turn white from squeezing the steering wheel too hard. Being forced to do it, is the only thing that makes me overcome driving anxiety... that and repetition.
