Agree , but I still complain if I have to work on my birthday ,😂 A birthday only happens once a year , so being at work on my birthday sucks , even though I have done it plenty of times , but I do prefer being off for it and will request PTO for it if need be
You just contradicted yourself
While I do agree that people who complain about having to work on their birthdays are a bit childish, I do think there are certain birthdays that should be celebrated like your 25th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 70th birthdays. Especially 40th and 50th birthdays because that means you lived more than half of your lifespan or just about at that point so it should be celebrated. Not necessarily have to take off for it, but you should be allowed to have some good fun with it.
Welp. It's done. My last significant birthday is over.
I'm cooked
I’m fortunate that my birthday coincides with a major holiday. If i’m expected to work, i can expect double time and a relatively light work load. Half the work for twice the pay? I’ve had worse birthdays. Ell oh ell!

I can't remember a time when I didn't work on my birthday if I was scheduled.
Agree. But disagree on 21 since in most places adulthood is 18 and you can vote and give consent for sex.
Birthdays are for children.
Well I know I wouldn’t work on my birthday even if I’m by myself. But I haven’t spent a birthday alone so far. But things happen so you never know. Mine is in August
Agree even though I take half the day off but I don't get customers then anyway
