Do you ever check up on someone who hurt you in the past?

I occasionally check the county marriage license registry to see if my ex-wife has remarried. She divorced me because she said she decided that getting married was a mistake and she wanted to be single. I thought it was a lie, but 11 years later, she has not remarried. Maybe she was telling the truth.

I can see that happening to some people. The guy I'm starting to see now is not into marriage.

No, but the last guy would freeze instead of asking me even to a simple coffee just bc he's thinking of me as marriage material. I tried to explain... why not try to go out a little and see what energy we have between us.

(Longer detail: Whenever we're near each other it's like we're on fire. I don't know why or how. I've never felt that in my life. But then he made a move, I thought it meant something and he claimed it didn't... that we should just be friends. And when I tried being friends with him he kept freezing and stumbling and scaring off any other guy who approached me for any reason at all.)

So... I don't want the guy who is thinking "marriage" from the moment he looks at me, But I also don't want a guy to treat me like a piece of meat. Try... A DATE... and see where it goes from there... to ANOTHER DATE. No? Isn't that how it's supposed to work?

No not really there are a couple of girls that when we broke up and we talk about thing pretty deep

And we were totally honest about it and we decided that was the best even though it took a little bit of time to do that we did it and we would run in to each other time to time

And there was a LDR WE DID the same thing and that took us forever like six to eight months to finally say okay let's end

I'm pretty sure that if we lived in the same city we would probably still be together but you never can tell

I don’t check up on her but I have to talk to her because we have kids’ together , my ex wife that lost her fucking mind that ruined our marriage and family because she is a mental nut case

Nope. Once someone's outta my life, that's it. The only way I give someone my time who's been a drain or toxic in the past is if they apologize and we reconcile.

Nah. And you wanna know who the last person that hurt me was? Some unknown woman in her 30s on here, 3 years ago in a public discussion i said somwthing i will never say to anyone in person, that i have mommy issues and daddy issues because my parents themselves have mommy issues and daddy issues (just like 40% OF ALL ADULTS DO), and so they passed them onto me by treating me as an adult when i was a toddler. Well, the woman on the forum, actually 2 of them, pissed all over me saying "you loser, that's not what daddy issues means, what it means is when a woman screws abusers. But good for you for confessing". I think that interaction stalled my inner child healing for a few years. no i don't check up, i don't even remember one, and the other was banned, everyone knows @emyywolf had only bad things to say about her dad. We were friends actually, digging conspiracy theories together.

Meh. Some folks on here are crappy lonely people using G@G members as their cure-all scapegoats. Ignore that one and focus on the positive.

When you get to a certain age , and you have friends pass , sure you check , not for some sexual reason , but to see what's happened..

The longer you live the more interesting the outcome, realistically it's nice that one has interest , I'm sure many check me , and I'm easy to find , it's not an issue.

I tried to find a kid that used to bully me in 9th grade. If I found him I entertained the idea of tracking him down and getting some payback. but I He was not there in 10th grade so I assume he dropped out. I could not find him on the internet but I imagine his life did not turn out too good.
