This is such a good question. I appreciate this so much more than another penis size question or another are all men or all women insert whatever that the answer is no answer.
So if you assume that these harsh truths are in fact always true, I'd argue that. I'm sorry if some of these are extreme but it's just to make a point and answer your question seriously.
1. If you're lazy it's you're fault. Hmm I struggle with this because I tend to believe it's true but I have seen really lazy people do really well so who knows if it always matters haha.
2. If you're unhappy it's yours fault. Not true. If someone killed my family they are to blame me for feeling unhappy. I can choose to not be unhappy eventually but the unhappiness that arose wouldn't be my fault.
3. If you're not who you want to be it's your fault. Women and children get trafficked and are not who or where they want to be because of force. They don't want to be trafficked and can't stop it. They may want to be free but this prevents it and is not their fault.
4. No one is coming to save you. Well I can answer this one personally. I had an allergic reaction to something while I live alone. I called 911 and an ambulance came and saved me by using an EpiPen on me. They literally came and saved me.
5. Trust yourself you got this. Yeah I know people that can't do this. Think people that gamble their money away into nothing. They trusted their methods and lost.
I think for many people these saying can be extremely helpful to push you into a better direction but to call them literally harsh truths is inaccurate. Maybe calling them a sobering reality for some is better. Sometimes no one will save you for ex. Sometimes you can be saved.
The harsh truth? Nobody is coming to become the person you're capable of becoming. That's your responsibility alone. The day you accept that is the day your life truly begins.
