I would like to think there are more sane partners out there than those "mother's boyfriend or father's girlfriend beat baby/toddler to death" crazy psychos.
Seriously are there still good bfs and gfs that wouldn't harm their partner's child? I know it was the single mother's or single father's fault for bringing a partner home and even leaving their kid alone with them but even hurting someone else's infant (even if it's not your kid) must be sick. Are there still good partners? We always hear news about horrible ones but never the good ones.

My aim on GAG is to make love, dating, and relationships less confusing and a lot safer… with a tiny sprinkle of flirting 😏
Yes, there are MANY good boyfriends and girlfriends who are absolutely safe and loving around their partner’s kids. The horror stories make the news, the healthy ones don’t.
In my work, I see partners who read bedtime stories, pack lunches, go to school events, and protect those kids like their own. That said, it’s a massive red flag to rush someone into your child’s life, leave them alone too soon, or ignore weird behavior.
Good partners respect boundaries, move slowly, never compete with the child, and never get “jealous” of the attention a parent gives their kid. Anyone who gets angry at normal child behavior, punishes too harshly, or seems resentful is not just a bad partner, but a danger.
So yes, there are amazing partners out there. You just don’t hear “Stepdad makes pancakes and helps with homework” on the news. But that’s happening every single day.
