Yeah I know exactly what you mean but I look at it like this when you have an opportunity for quiet time and a time for yourself turn off all TVs radio everything and just be into yourself think about life about you where you're headed what you're doing this is your moment to find yourself even deeper I believe that's why we have quiet times I'm doing the same thing right now I don't understand it well I do understand it but I want to date I want to date very bad I miss being in a relationship and I can say this and I still won't go out and do what I used to do I'm just taking this time for myself and trying to figure life and everything out because it's all going to different direction and I have to be aware of that and I'm curious about all that I know when it's time that it will happen but I am lonely and I am everything LOL I definitely want a relationship but I'm going to take the time for me

I'm single. I'm not bored. I am single by choice because of how busy I get most of the year with school. There I do get to see my roommate all the time and my friends when I have the time.

I don't mind it. It is a matter of perspective and yours isn't the same as mine. If you want to date then get out there and do it. Nothing holding you back I wouldn't think.

For most people it is very dull. However, single life isn't supposed to feel relentlessly exciting—no life is. But it's also not supposed to feel like waiting for something. If you want something... you make it happen.

Hmmh. Boring/bored is an intrinsic feeling like happiness. Another person can make you happy but it is more intrinsic as to whether you are a happy person or an unhappy person... you are disposed to one or the other.

If you look to another to make you happy it is like a drug that works but it becomes less efficacious over time. So you will need to find someone else.

For myself I go through periods where I am intensely interested in something but start getting bored by it. Then I need to find another interest.

Overall it is better if you don't look to others but look within yourself for excitement & happiness. Both become a burden to others eventually.

I think you should build these qualities within yourself. It relates to your other question on being single.

If you have enough friends, this situation won't be that difficult. You probably feel a need for attention when you're alone.

I prefer being in a relationship. Hope this helps.  I love my hubby and we are best friends and we do so much for each other and for others.
