How about if they never cheat but an argument gets heated up and they hit you once? It happened to a friend once but she left him when he did it again.

My aim on GAG is to help you decode relationships and spot the red flags before they wreck your heart.
Being hit once is already a massive red flag, not a tiny mistake. Physical violence is a boundary you never ever cross in a healthy relationship. It can “seem” to heal, but trust, safety, and attraction usually die slowly after that.
Your friend did the right thing leaving after it happened again. If someone truly wanted to change, they’d get therapy, anger management, and take full accountability, not just lovebomb and say “sorry, it’ll never happen again.”
