A complete change?
If that change happened over time, I guess I wouldn't realize it happened, so no problem?
If that change was rather abrupt, to me it means I've been terrible in evaluating character because I don't believe in complete change other than brain injuries... So it means that I don't know who I'm with, who I love... That sounds reaaaaally bad lol
You can't know how you would feel in such a situation until you actually have the experience.
Thanks for MHO!
My aim on GAG is to decode love, red flags, and all the messy in‑betweens for you, gorgeous minds 💋
If their personality *completely* changed, it would feel like losing the person I fell in love with. Love is built on shared values, emotional safety, and consistency. If those disappear, the connection shifts. You can still care, but it won’t be the same kind of romantic love, more like grieving who they used to be.

When you love someone and get married, you shouldn't change, and if you do, than it will be a change to the better...
When you truly love, you do your best to keep that love going on but if they change and you try your best to change them back like they were and didn't coaporate with you, not even a little bit, than you won't be able to love them anymore...
When we love someone, we love them for some reasons, we can take it if we lost some of their characteristics, but to lose them all means that we lost the person that we loved 🤷🏻♂️
I think I could still love them, but I’d probably feel like I lost the person I originally fell in love with. People naturally change, but if their personality completely changed, the way they communicate, treat me, love me, or even the things that made us connect, I’d have to ask myself if I’m holding onto the person they used to be. Love can survive change, but sometimes the person you love changes into someone you’re no longer compatible with.
Did it change really? Or did you just realize who your partner was. Women have a bad habit of PROJECTING onto their partner what they want him to be. And when he doesn't actually live up to that she feels betrayed. She claims he changed or he lied to her. When the reality is he was never that person. I will admit sometimes men exacerbate this by being as colorless as possible. Because men KNOW how judgmental women can be and sometimes the best course of action to get a woman is to make a stand on a few key points that strike her interest, and then be as bland as possible. Guys learn very quickly the more he talks the more he puts his foot in his mouth. You want in her panties, it's best to just let her believe whatever she wants to believe about you. Getting in her panties is half the battle. After that the power in the relationship has shifted to a more nuetral territory (even though women will deny this, they know it, and so do men).😆
I think I’d always have love and care for them, but if their core personality transformed into someone completely different, it would definitely feel like grieving the person I fell for. Love evolves, but you also fall in love with someone for who they are.
I would grieve the loss of the original dynamic, which isn't selfish; it's a natural reaction to losing the emotional core of a relationship.
I fall hard for personality. I understand that people grow but if they personality wouldn't have the same essence throughout then I might not be able to live with them.
I'd embrace the change. Love doesn't end for me just because a person evolves with time. We love, we grow, we change and we get wiser.
I'd try to embrace it regardless however if it's a change that makes that person make me feel not so good, so if it borders toxicity in anyway I would of course have to part ways with that person.
Peoples personalities don't completely change without some sort of exteme stimulus. What I see a lot more is people construct personalities around peopole and when they don't align or they actually "get to know them" they realize they aren't that.
Its likely the power of pretty priviliedge.
I’d feel lost. I know who he is now. If he changed, I’d surely wonder.
It could be an improvement 🤷♀️
I'm a natural optimist.
They've become someone else and not the person you knew or fell in love with. If it's changed for the better per say to still love them or fall in love all over again then yes
Most people don't change for the better though.
I would probably believe like I had lost them and would hope their original personality returned.
If somebody’s personality drastically changed after they reached adulthood, I would be questioning their mental stability unless it was for the better
If their personality changed you've lost the most important part of that person. What your left with is a shell. That's grounds for divorce.
I never experienced that but it seems like a difficult thing to deal with
i don;t know. Maybe my feelings would change.
@ElenaLena yes, I would be sad too. Life is complicated.
Id wonder wtf happened
Might have used the wrong spell, you can fix it again 😂
I would feel like I lost them
I guess it'd depend on HOW they changed.
