What’s harder to get back once it’s gone: trust or attraction?

Both are almost impossible for me because part of attraction is trust for me. If I lose trust in you I lose attraction for you too. I may not get rid of a person completely but they will permanently exist in a lower status tier of friends and acquaintances for me. There is no coming back from that in my experience no matter what I tell you or what I tell myself.

Attraction can return if the chemistry is intact, but when someone has been betrayed rebuilding trust can be impossible or requires proof over a long period of time to reestablish.

Trust is way harder to get back. Once it’s broken, every word and action feels suspicious, like a walking red flag. Attraction can come back with effort, growth, and mystery again. Trust hands down. All someone generally has to do is workout seriously to get into shape and become physically attractive again. Once trust is gone by something like cheating, things will never be the same
