I think I would, especially if it meant I could understand what they’re saying when they suddenly switch languages around their family hehe..

Plus, being able to flirt…or argue 😁 in two languages sounds like a useful relationship skill loll.

My wife is Chinese and Mandarin is her native language. All of her friends are Chinese and they talk nonstop Mandarin. I am SURE that they are talking about me, but I have no idea what they are saying. Damn right I'd like to speak Mandarin, but she refuses to teach me. . . says it would be too difficult.

Kind of. I had an ex who was from Mexico, and I'd love to learn Spanish. It's just that it's a lot of effort, and I feel like the only time I wouldn't be lazy about it is if I actually move to the country. Otherwise, I don't see a big need.

The top languages I want to learn anyways are... Spanish, portuguese, italian, japanese, and german. It's just a daunting task

Yes, and I have. My first wife's parents spoke Spanish as their native language. Though they spoke excellent English, they appreciated that I learned enough Spanish to communicate with them in their original language.

My ex was Japanese and I learned Japanese to a point before meeting her. It was crazy because she didn't speak English at all, but she took classes and was speaking English really clearly after a couple years. So yeah, I'd be interested... it's not that hard when you're just using that language everyday like that. My side chick at that time was also Japanese, but she was a fucking retard and never learned to speak English. Probably why I never took my side-chick seriously.

... if anybody wonders why I had two chicks... it's a different culture, sort of expected for guys like me.

I think it's not a bad idea because they are always going to want to hear sexual things in their own language. If a man was speaking another language to me during sex, it might be exciting at first but it would get tiresome very fast not having those words in my head associated with those meanings.

From experience, arguing using a foreign language is weird. It's a bit like when your kids annoy you at the wrong moment and all you manage to say is a bunch of nonsense "Go brush your fridge!! 😡"

Absolutely. I love languages and part of loving a person is learning to communicate in their language, it helps get into their brain, how they think, how they respond to your cues and it's part of who they are.

I would. I think learning partner’s language is a way of showing respect and making an effort to understand him and his background. It also shows genuine interest in his culture. Plus it would definitely come in handy when speaking to his family if they don’t speak any other language.
