How do you move forward when your partner and your family dislike each other?

Knowing that your family wants the best for you them setting clear boundaries that they will not bother with this particular matter your relationship due to the fact of not liking your partner and vice versa your partner doesn’t like your family. How do you even proceed forward?

As helpful as the pointless "that's awfully tough" non-answer obviously is... start by asking each what it is they dislike about them. That will tell you if it is fixable. See if they can at least be cordial to each other at the very least. Figure out something they have in common, no matter how small and see if you can all bond over it together.

This is a good idea definitely cause I do sit down and ask at least my family knows why their actions their demeanor not that he’s not a good person which is a good part. They think he’s a good person but when your actions and demeanor don’t match up.

I've never really been in that situation myself so I can't really tell...

but I am sure that my partner would be-come... MY family, so, it would suck big time but oh well, I would just move on and not look back
