Trending & News We keep our phones private and consider them part of our personal thoughts. We all have the right to keep our thoughts private.
This is also why I don't think police have any right to see your phone or make you open it when you get pulled over. What did they do in the days when no one had phones with them in their cars? You kept your thoughts in your head and they had no right to them. Why should having a device with you with your personal information on it change that? What do they do when they pull someone over who doesn't have their phone with them? That guy gets off while you have to have the government looking through yours? It's not right.
That's a lie. Officers can't randomly check a phone withput a warrant or consent.
Tgere are very few exceptions. Even if they seize it during an arrest, they can't search it without said warrant or consent.
Some exceptions,
Your on parole.
Border searches.
Immediate threats or risk of evidence destruction.
If they search it illegally, any and all evidence immediately becomes suppressed in court.
I think it’s up to you but it’s not necessary. If you trust them, you don’t need their password, and vice versa.
If im honest about it I look at it two different ways.
It is your partner and I wouldn't have any problem sharing my password
And then the second thing is you share everything else and there has to be one thing you don't share and that could be your phone and just because sometimes if your partner is not around and you want to do something you might have porn on there that would be the only reason why I wouldn't want to but if she knows that about you and she should probably then once again why not but you have to have something that's private
Because she doesn't need to know everything about you LOL some women frown on that I guess
We share. You never know when a crisis could develop where we need each other's phone.
My aim here on GAG is to help you decode relationship stuff without losing your mind… or your heart 😏
Sharing passwords isn’t a requirement for healthy love. It’s not automatically a green flag or a red flag. It’s about *choice*, not pressure.
If you both offer access freely and neither of you is obsessed with checking, that’s trust.
If one demands passwords, accuses, or constantly snoops, that’s insecurity and borderline controlling.
Privacy isn’t the same as secrecy. Secrecy hides betrayal. Privacy protects individuality.
So no, it’s not necessary. It’s only healthy when it comes from mutual comfort, not fear of being ghosted or cheated on.

My wife uses her fingerprint, which means I can only use her phone (say, mine died) if she unlocks it for me. I've told my wife the PIN for my phone but she never remembers it, so same thing. She can only use my phone when I'm around to tell her the PIN.
So, basically, we keep them private and only use our own phones, except in rare situations.
I wouldn't share mine with someone who wanted to scan through it to keep tabs on me. A person like that couldn't be trusted. I probably wouldn't share it with a girlfriend, either.
Going through people's stuff is creepy.
My wife and I have access to each other's phones in case of emergency. Neither one of us has any interest in going through each other's phones, though.
Our phone activity is pretty uninteresting.
I don't have any apps and I don't use it for social media, email or anything but calls, texting and photos. I do everything on my laptop and I don't share access to that because it contains all kinds of sensitive information like finances, etc.
I've never looked at my wife's ipad.
We trust each other. There's no funny business going on.
Unless you are actually sharing a phone and there is a practical need, it seems utterly pointless.
If the purpose is to snoop because you don't trust them then the relationship is already dead, or more likely was never alive in the first place.
I use the same code for everything anyway. It isn't Fort Knox.
Keep it private 🔒🔐
It's the same way I don't ask family for theirs lol duh 🙄 😂 I mean who gives out their password or PIN lol 😆
Seinfeld episode "George give your PIN" lol 💳
We share everything, but we have nothing to hide either. Anyone with any common sense will avoid that gigantic red flag.
that's everyone's choice...
but if there's a lack of trust... and that would be the reason, then I just don't have any business in a relationship with that person... lol
Good question, my wife likes to grab my phone all the time, mostly because hers is out of reach. However, she not a big fan when I grab hers.
Weird
One of those quarks!
If you feel the need to hide things, you know your either doing things you shouldn't or are with the wrong partner.
My wife has all my passwords. I ran off a copy of them before I had my surgery in case I died on the table.
It's not necessary to share your phone or password if you do nothing to give your partner any reason to be suspicious of you.
I don't want to look at my partners phone. I also don't want any reason to wonder what's on it.
I wouldn't really invade someone's privacy nor would I want them to invade mine. I would confront my partner if I had a very good reason to.
Everyone is different. Personally I'm not interested in going though my partner's phone.
If you're a trustworthy person, no need to hide the password on your other half!
If they choose to, I wouldn't mind equal access to my partners phone.
Keep the phones open, if not share it with your tag team partner
That's up to them. Personally I don't feel like need a woman I''m with phone password.
Share why? What do you have to hide? That's one sign someone is shady.
It depends on the level of intimacy between me and my partner.
They can if they want to.
I see no reason to keep them private!
Keep them private, and keep some separate money.
The latter. Some things should be private even among couples.
I share it because I never rember it
It shouldn't be an issue.
Keep them private. There has to be trust.
@mamysandycandy It can work both ways
People need to keep their phones private.
Private.
