Is it wrong to teach a wife or a girlfriend new things, especially if she is lacking basic life skills?

I asked this because something came across my FB feed. This man suggested it was perfectly fine to teach the opposite sex things. And a certain demographic dog piled him, suggesting women do not need men and to suggest it's acceptable for a man to teach women anything is sexist, hatefu, and controlling.

I read this thinking about my wife. When we met, she was 21. She had not been taught things like basic cooking, and how to keep one's home clean. Though the years I taoght her these things and we went from me doing all of it to pretty much splitting the work. How is what I did wrong?

Probably though if he was an asshole in the way he taught I could see issues. But most men I know aren't assholes.

Male or female, they should always be seeking new things to learn.

Hell yes. I personally feel like if Im not learning something, life isn't worth living.

Yeah me too, I think some of these women take issue with a person being male and teaching.

I don't feel like it is either. Hell if my wife had not wanted to learn to cook, I'd have not taught her. Though over the years she's become a WAY better baker than I am lol.
