I have waited 4 years on someone.
In the end she is in a lovely relationship with someone she loves.
I have wasted 4 years of my life. Behind someone who didn't choose me.
I have done this 2 times first was in diploma a year , in Batchlors 3 years ( I wanted to prove myself, I got the best job in campus placements)
Still, after that I waited for some the same girl one more year.
But she never liked me, lol.

Took me another year to move on. Another 2 years to complete cut off and get in a relationship now.
( 26 years old never got a chance, till 2026)
I came a long , painful, lonely, and the worst path of my life.
I am not grateful for any of that pain but I am glad it's over..

Did you ever tell this woman you were interested in a relationship? Or did you slot yourself into her nice guy herd of friend zoned guys silently hanging on against all odds because she was already in a relationship with someone else?

Did you sit there in silence hoping by some miracle she would notice you and choose you despite the fact you never told her you were interested?

Why weren't you out there meeting and dating other women if she was taken and apparently very happy with what she has? Why obsess over one unobtainable woman?

You sound like the architect of your own misery.

You waited but she never liked you. That sounds like you were totally passive and just waiting for a miracle to happen. That's not much of a plan. Were you doing anything to make it happen? If not, that may be part of the problem. Women tend to be turned off, or at least not turned on by passive submissive guys. She likely doesn't see you as relationship material and never will.

At this point all you can do is learn and change. Those years are gone. You wasted them. Don't make a habit of this.

This is why there are so many men on here who have never dated or had sex, you sit around waiting for someone who is never going to be with you. If you don't know something is going on in the first 3 months, then move on to someone else. Most guys will only give it one or two chances before moving on. Someone is not going to fall in love with you just because you fixate on them. There has to be reciprocity fairly early on. What happened in year 3 that made you think waiting for year 4 was going to help? Multiple times? It doesn't work that way.
