I depends on a bunch of things. I don't have an issue with him having female friends and seeing them and he should also not need to ask for approval for every little thing. But there's a difference between e. g. a childhood friend he knows since forever and a person he met only recently. Also it's different if you live together or not. Ideally you just tell your SO and then there's no issue.
