How to deal with a bossy girlfriend?

It started with me falling head over heels for this chick and we been dating for about a year. Of course I wasn't myself when I was intoxicated with her, but now my mind have become clear and apparently she loves to be in charge which I didn't care about at first but now its just getting annoying. I'm a cool tempered guy and it takes a lot for me to get mad, but its been order after order the past 2 months and it's driving me insane. I already talked to her about it and I almost broke up with her because of this. I know it is in her nature to be bossy, but damn today was mission impossible. Lately it's been, when and were we can hang out, when and where we have sex, do this do that, go here go there, get this get that... I lost it today after she pulled me from my room after a tiring bossy day. I thought she was going to ask me to just lay down next to her and chill(which she haven't said to me in months) but instead tells me to finish her chores before she went to her night classes, which I do without saying a thing because you know, she has class yet she calls me one more time with a simple "Hey can you..blah..blah..." but I had enough I just couldn't do it. I had to reply, "No, do it yourself and stop telling me what to do" which in turn caused her to flip.

I can tell that it's bothering her a little that I'm showing her more of my dominate side, but ladies and gents... I need advice, its not that I have the need or urge to feel like a big bad boss(ok maybe a little bit), but just to somehow tune down her urge just a little bit down to a balance between us. Really, I'm beginning to feel like the girlfriend!

If it's who she is, it's who she is.

You're doing the right thing, I think, for you. Which is to communicate with her, your wants, likes, dislikes, etc. If you're the kind of guy that likes this kind of behaviour from a girl, then that's who you are.

So, you'll need to accept who she is and submit; or she needs to accept who you are and calm the fuck down; or you're going to break up.

There are some 'in betweens' in there, those aren't the only three options, but you don't want to ask her to be someone different and she shouldn't want to ask you to be someone different.

i guess you just have to knw when you reel yourself in...it's really easy to fall into this dictator trap like they say but you have to remember that being assertive doesn't mean controlling. she still has a voice in the relationship too. when she can no longer speak that's when you need to be concerned

In my experience, people who are naturally that bossy don't change easily. She's probably not going to be happy if she's not bossing somebody around.
