Should I tell my long distance boyfriend I kissed someone else?

I'm in a long distance relationship since the start of summer. I live in Scotland, he lives in Australia.

The other night however, I was out and had a quite a bit to drink, one of my guy friends who likes me kissed me, I kissed him back however then I realized what I'm doing, pulled away and told him I have a boyfriend.

I know myself that the kiss meant absolutely nothing and that my boyfriend is the one I love. It was drunken mistake - I guess I just missed the physical aspect of being close to a guy.

He's coming to visit at Christmastime, should I tell him face to face then, or should I tell him now? or not tell him at all?

Only tell him if you enjoy hurting him and want to break up. Otherwise don't say anything about it, and be careful about getting drunk around others. If you can't control yourself while drunk, then you need to avoid putting yourself in a situation that may cause you to make bad decisions like that again. If you can't trust yourself, then he most certainly wouldn't be able to trust you either.

If you can handle getting drunk and not doing it again then its fine, but as I am sure you know being drunk is not an excuse. Now that you know what can happen when you drink you have to accept full responsibility for the choices you make while drunk from now on. If it happens again, then you let it happen and have no excuse for it.

Mistakes can happen while drunk, but you can't let yourself keep making the same mistakes over and over, while just using the fact that you were drunk as an excuse for your repeated bad behavior.

This is a sticky situation here.

I say, as long as you know 100% it won't happen again, and that you 100% learned...i would throw this in the wind and not tell your long distance bf.

However, if you keep having the urge to keep doing these "mistakes"...then frankly I don't think you're built for long-distance relationships.

Some people simply NEED and CRAVE that physical contact more than others.

I would not tell him at all as long as you know it was a mistake and it won't ever happen again. However if yo think it will happen again tell and and break up with him because the pain will be enough most likely for him to do something out of revenge and it will hurt you more. If you really love him you will know what is right and wrong and never make this mistake again but if you feel you can't handle this then leave and say sorry and that you tired and what ever else you want to say. No. Don't tell him. No point. It won't help him any. It won't help you any. If it was a one-time thing like you said, all will be fine. A lot of people have had had such encounters when separated by distance for a while, it happens. That said, if you make a habit of it, that pretty much telly you that you really aren't into your boyfriend and you should just go ahead and break up.

Don't tell him. That will just make him feel bad. You are the one who should feel bad. The guilt will be your punishment.

Promise yourself that you will never do it again. If you do, consider breaking up with him.
