Why am I so into older men, and like twice my age?

I seem to get along so well with them, and have the conversations I just enjoy, I love their maturity and how they treat their women, I feel like I am with a real man...but I know when I get older and they do to, I might not be interested in them cause I would want them to look the same as they do now... there is this older man I am getting to know and love and I do question what if I lose attraction to him when I am 35 and he's 68?

And right now I am 21, and I just love me an older man, I always have... but I like them between the ages of 32 - 59

I don't have daddy problems...I have a good relationship with my father... he has qualities that I want a guy to have and many that I don;t want a guy to have

That's not that uncommon. I wouldn't say all girls feel that way, but a certain number of them do. There is a girl who is a family friend who I was giving advice to once. Her family had lots of fighting problems and I tried to play an older brother figure to her, being a mentor and all. She ended up really falling for me, but it would never work, as I'm 29 and she was 16! Anyways, I told her to hang in there, even if a lot of younger guys are immature and in a few years time, if she wants to date older men, go for it, but at least grow up a bit first yourself.

As for dating in my personal life, I've tended to date a few years younger than myself. The last three girls I've dated were all 23. I feel that while that six year age difference isn't huge, I am a lot more confident in being a stable man to a slightly younger woman. And a lot of girls just get that six sense that I just "get it" as to what a woman is feeling, thinking and needing out of being a man. The girl doesn't feel like she has to explain it to me, or that's what one of my ex's told me. Providing you have a mature younger woman and a mature older man, there's no reason why an age gap can't work. My mom is 11 years my dad's junior, and they've been married for almost four decades.

You're kidding yourself about the daddy issues. If I were you I'd talk to a counselor and unearth what they are. Just because you aren't aware of them doesn't mean they aren't there.

Of course, it could be other things..could be mommy problems as well!

I think you know why to some extent. They are mature and more giving then young guys. They play less games. Plus their are some older guys like Richard Gere or George Clooney who are very attractive. Do you mean just physically or over all?

As far as the older guy you like now, why don't you just enjoy your relationship for what it is. Instead of evaluating based on age, think about the relationship as a whole. Does the good outweigh the bad? Is there anything that you can't live with with this guy?

physically and overall I prefer them... I do enjoy the relationship and everything, I am happy...but I do think about what he will look like when I am 35 or 40...and you are so right the good does outweigh the bad...and the second question needs deep thought
